Beautiful smile!
For a month, twice a week, Kurara has been visiting the WHITEWHITE DENTAL CLINIC in Ebisu or Shinjuku . Step by step they have prepared Kurara’s smile and it is finished, perfect and sparkling!
Kurara’s dentist Satoko Ishi (DDS) is the dentist of many celebrities in Tokyo and she did an amazing work on Kurara.
Satoko told Kurara that she absolutely has to drink 2 liters of Evian per dayin between meals because it contains so much calcium and magnesium, so important to have beautiful teeths. Kurara told me that she actually drinks the 2 liters and that since then she lost 3 kilos without any diet, just because it cleaned up her metabolism. Actually I started myself and already I can tell the difference, I feel very good.
Merci Merci Satoko, her teeths are perfect now and she is so happy!
domo aligato gozaimashita!

Kurara chose herlook forher interview withthejudge

She chose a stylish and chic look for her interview with the judges. I see something that an editor of a fashion magazine would wear for an interview.
She will do her interview in English. She rehearsed with me today and I was amazed by what she decieded to say and how sexy-classy-sharp she was when she spoke. I am so proud of her!
Two weeks ago, Kurara chose her evening gown, “the one” that she will wear for her competition on stage. Absolutely spectacular!
The gown was actually a grand finale dress for the last collections in Paris, NY, Milano and Tokyo, and has been photographed in Vogue in the 4 countries.
Today we said goodbye because tomorrow I will be going to the South of France in our home with my sons for the summer. But from July 20th to the 25th I will be going to Los Angeles for the National Directors meeting and to see Kurara. I know she will do so good and I can’t wait to see everyone again like every year.
A bientot depuis la France,
Hasta luego,
Sayonara!
Kurara national costume
designed by creator Yoshiyuki Ogata.
“Kacchuu of Kohagi (the armor of KOHAGI)”
Kacchuu was originally used as a protective body armor for Japanese warriors heading off into battle. But as women were considered ineffective in war, there was no such thing as female armor.
However, times have changed, and the role of women in society today is also very different. The number of women full of passion, who carry out a greater number of social roles than men are increasing, and this costume was specially commissioned to symbolize those women who live each day with strength and dignity.
This work of art was designed by the artist Yuichi Miyagawa, and created under the supervision of the “Kohagi” brand designer Yoshiyuki Ogata.
This project was met with objection by one craftsman in particular, who angrily refused the proposal with the words: “How could I possibly take on such a preposterous assignment?!”
The most important thing about the design was that it should not detract from a woman’s femininity. In fact, the hard iron of the armor upon soft skin should accentuate and even emphasize female sensuality. The theme of the costume is “Sensuality which springs from strength and dignity”.
Just like the traditional armor, steel was used in its construction, and thick cotton fabric was used on the forearms and shins to give a sporty look. The chain mail thigh guards are made from fishnet stockings, boldly expressing the eroticism of modern Japanese city women.
Taking into account the concept of Miss Universe, it can be said that this costume is an object of brutality that defies history and tradition. However, it cannot be denied that it expresses the strength and beauty of women today. We firmly believe that not only will this be the most symbolic costume on display at Miss Universe, but also that this “Kohagi” armour truly captures the spirit of everything which Kurara aims to showcase.

This dress looks like the “gladiatorlook” that McQueen presented at his spring summer fashion show in London, but Yoshiki had created first.
