T: こんにちは佳那さん、はじめまして。あなたの名前に由来があれば教えてください。

K: 名前の由来は何か美しく優しいものだろうと思って母に聞いてみたところ、母から「特にないわ。」と言われてしまいました（苦笑）。

 

 

T: 女性に年齢を聞くのは恐縮ですが、おいくつですか？

K: 現在２３歳、今年２４歳になりま。

 

 

T: 出身地である大分のファッションやビューティーについて、世界で最もおしゃれな街「東京」と比べてどう思いますか？

K: 大分にもキュートな女性はたくさんいますが、東京の女性はグラマラスでセクシーだと思います。もちろん、小さい頃から母が読んでいる東京のファッション雑誌を見たり、みんなが夢見るようにいつか雑誌に載ったりしたいと思っていました。今の私の目標は、自身のファッションブランドを立ち上げることです。

 

 

T: 自身のファッションブランドを立ち上げるとしたら、どんなスタイルのものにしたいですか？

K: 表参道や原宿にあるようなスタイルがいいですね。

T: もうすでにファッションブランドの名前を考えていたりしますか？

K: まだはっきりと決めていませんが、たぶん自分の名前のイニシャル「K」から始まる名前とかそういう感じのものになると思います。

 

 

T: 今、あなたはたくさんのファッション業界の方々にお会いする機会があります。それは今後に役立つ出会いですね。

K: そうですね。１３歳の頃からモデルを始めて、小さな頃からファッションについて興味を持って学んできました。

 

 

T: デザイナーになりたいですか？

K: たぶんデザイナーにはならないと思います。私の妹はデザインが得意なので、彼女にデザインを任せて、私は責任者として妹に指示を出したいです（笑）。私はモデルもできますね！

 

 

T: 今日の服装について教えてください。ミス・ユニバースの活動では、自ら衣装を選んだりできるのですか？ミス・ユニバース用のクレジットカードを持っていて、買い物ができたりするのでしょうか？

K: そんなクレジットカード、あったら欲しいです！私たちファイナリストは「サマンサ・タバサ」のようなスポンサーからプレゼントをいただいたりすることがあり、ラッキーだと思います。でも、大体の衣装はお借りしているので、イベントや撮影などが終わると返さなければなりません。普段から私は、質の良いもので値段の高くないものを原宿や新宿、渋谷で探して、選ぶように心がけています。

 

 

T: ファイナリスト同士でバッグや服を取り合うことはありますか？

K: そうですね、誰が最初にクールなバッグや靴などを選べるのか、緊張した空気になることがあります。でも、私達ファイナリストはそれぞれ違うスタイルなので、それぞれに合うものを見つけることができます。ライバルでありながら、仲間、友達として、お互いに刺激し合えるので良いと思います。

 

 

T: とても身長が高いですね！自分に合ったサイズを探すのに苦労しますか？

K: はい、困ることはあります。だからこそ、ファッションブランドを立ち上げて、自分にぴったりのものを作ってしまおうと言う訳です。

 

 

T: 男性のファッションについてはどう思いますか？

K: 悪くないとおもいます。日本の男性はクールというより、キュートなファッションを選ぶ傾向にあると思います。私はドルチェ＆ガッバーナのような、セクシーでクールなスタイルが好きです。自身が立ち上げるブランドでも、メンズコレクションをやりたいと思っています。

 

 

T: 大会はもう１ヶ月後に迫っていますが、どのように感じていますか？

K: 何もかも楽しいことばかりです。大会もとても楽しみにしています。

 

 

T: まだ練習が必要なのは何ですか？

K: スピーチがまだ得意ではないので、練習を続けていかなくてはなりません。また、セクシーにポーズすることもまだまだ練習が必要です。

 

T: では、セクシーとは？

K: セクシーとは、ポーズや表情から出したり、歩きながら出る姿勢だと思います。

 

 

T: 鏡の前でひとり、練習をしていますか？

K: もちろんしています。でも、私ってばかみたいって思っちゃいます（笑）。

 

 

T: ミス・ユニバースの活動とその他の日常をどのようにバランスを保っていますか？

K: ほとんどの人達のように、寝ることによってすべてのスイッチをオフにしています。でも、ミス・ユニバースの活動が始まってからは、ミス・ユニバースのことが頭から離れず、ポージングやスピーチのことを夢を見るようになり、目が覚めたらもっと疲れていたこともあります（苦笑）。

 

 

T: ミス・ユニバースの活動を始めて、なにが変わりましたか？

K: イネスの魔法は私に効いています！ポージングやウォーキング、メイクなど、ライフスタイルについて多くのことを学んでいます。また、運動の方法やしっかりした食生活についてを学び、人生の観点が変わったと思います。

 

 

T: でも、前からモデルをしていたことは今回の挑戦に役立っているでしょう？

K: それがそうでもありません。ファッションモデルとは、いかに服を良く見せるか。ミス・ユニバースとは、いかに「自分」を良く見せるか。ですから、歩き方や姿勢も全く違うスタイルにしなければなりませんでした。

 

 

T: ミス・ユニバース・ジャパンのナショナル・ディレクターであるイネスは厳しいですか？

K: そうですね、でも良いことだと思います。厳しくても、いつも楽しいことばかりです。イネスはいつも、街で突然ファッションショーを始めたり、注目を集めるプロジェクトを私達に経験させてくれるのです。警備の人達がそんなファッションショーを止めたことがあるくらい凄いです。そんなイネスに感謝しています。

 

 

T: 自己トレーニングとイネスによるトレーニングは、どのくらいの比率ですか？

K: たぶん５０％ずつですね。イネスから私達が何かを教わったら、その後それぞれ練習しなければなりません。私の英語の勉強も似ていて、映画やTV番組「セックス・アンド・ザ・シティ」を見ることで、英語とファッションやビューティーについての会話を同時に練習しています。

 

 

T: この大会に参加してから、なにか変化を感じますか？

K: はい。今では、ピラティスや５３階のビルを（死にもの狂いで）駆け上がることなどが普段の出来事になり、自分自身の身体が変化していくことが分かります。今までの私と新しい私がひとつになっていく感覚で、どんどん良い方向へ向かっている気がします。そして何よりも、今の私は成長し、自信を持っています。

 

T: 日本女性について、また日本女性の美について、どう思いますか？

K: 日本では、ほとんどの女性が美を追求しファッションやメイクを研究して美しくなろうとしています。でも、内面の美しさの方がもっと大切だと思います。日本の女性は自信を持つ必要があります。他の国の女性達のように、自分達の意見を主張することに慣れていないのです！

 

T: それでは、日本は変わるべきだと言うことですか？

K: そうです！日本は世界でも高い評価を受け、たくさんの外国人が暮らしています。私達は意見を伝えることによって、もっと交流をし、関係を深めることが必要なのです。

 

T: それでは、もしあなたがミス・ユニバースになったなら、交流を深めることが使命になりますね？

K: そうです。そして、他の多くのこともしていかなくてはなりません。自然も大切ですから、世界の環境に対しても活動をしていきたいです。

 

T: このミス・ユニバースを目指す旅の中で、一番辛かった出来事は何ですか？

K: （苦笑）体重が増えたことです！前はもう少し痩せていたけれど、筋肉があまりありませんでした。今はスペシャルトレーニングをして筋肉が増えた分、体重が増えてしまいました。

 

T: 辞めたいと思ったことはありますか？

K: ありえないです！私はミス・ユニバースになりたいです！

 

T: 今まで、どんなチャリティー活動に参加してきましたか？

K: 中学生の頃、カトリックの学校に通っていたので、障害者学校や老人ホームなどに行って人を助ける活動をしました。これからもチャリティー活動続け、もっと多くの活動、特に子供と教育に関わる活動をしていきたいと思っています。ザ・ルーム・トゥ・リードというイベントを通して、多くの地を訪れて子供達に出会い、助けたいと思うようになりました。また、環境もとても大切だと思うので、子供達を教育することが必要だと考えています。

 

T: ありがとう佳那。いい話ができたよ。

ENGLISH TEXT Kana Anan, does this name have a meaning? It kind of means beauty and kindness, I asked my mother, but she said ‘oh I don’t know’ (laughs). I know its an offence to ask a women how old she is, but how old are you? I’m 23 turning 24 this year. What was fashion and beauty like in Oita (quiet province in Western Japan) where you grew up compared to Tokyo which is one of the greatest fashion cities in the World? In Oita there are many ‘cute’ girls, but in Tokyo the girls are glamorous and sexy. Of course, when I was young I used to look at all the fashion magazines from Tokyo that my mother read, and like most young girls I dreamt about being in the magazines. Now it is my future ambition to start my own fashion label. So if you start a label, it will be a dream come true. Yes If you start a brand what style will it be? Something like Omotosando or Harajuku style. Have you already though of a name for your brand? Not sure yet, but maybe something using my name, starting with ‘K’ or something like that. So now you’re meeting many people in fashion which must be helpful. Yes, I suppose so. I started modeling when I was 13, so I have been learning about fashion from a young age Will you be the designer? Probably not, my sister is good at design, so I’ll let her do that part and I will be the boss and tell my sister what to do (laughs). I can be the model too! So what about your wardrobe now? Do you get to choose the clothes you wear for Miss Universe? Do you have a Miss Universe credit card to go shopping with? I wish! Sometimes we are lucky and get things from our sponsors like Samantha Thavasa, but most of the time we have to return the clothes after the fashion shoots. Therefore, I always try to find good quality, inexpensive clothes, which I can usually find in Harajuku, Shinjuku or Shibuya where those crazy Shibuya girls with the wild hair hang out. Really? I had no idea young women in Japan were so ‘into’ shopping.(laughs) Do you fight about who gets which bags and wears which clothes etc? Yeah sometimes there is tension to be first to get to the cool hand bags and shoes etc., but we all have different styles so we usually find things to suit ourselves. Despite being rivals we are all good friends and healthy competition is good for all of us. You’re so tall, do you have trouble finding your size? Yes I have trouble sometimes, that’s why it will be great to start my own brand; I can make things to fit me perfectly. What do you think about men’s fashion? It’s not bad. Japanese men often wear cute fashion – not cool fashion. I love fashion like Dolce & Gabbana that mix sexy and cool together. With my brand I could also do a men’s collection. The contest is only a month away, how are you feeling about it? It’s all great fun; I’m really looking forward to it. Is there anything you still need to practice? I’m not very good at speeches, so I must keep practicing speaking. I also have to work on improving my sexy poses. So what is sexy? Sexy is posing and facial expressions, the way you walk and your attitude. Do you practice alone in front of the mirror? Yes of course, but I feel like an idiot (laughs) How do you keep balance? Just like most people I sleep and switch my brain off, but after I started the Miss Universe competition I have many dreams about Miss Universe things, like posing and speeches, so sometimes I’m even more tired when I wake up (laughs). What transformation has taken place since you began the Miss Universe competition? Ines has worked her magic with me! I learnt posing and walking, make up and many lifestyle things. Also: how to exercise and eat properly and so my whole life has changed. But you had done modeling before so did that make it easier for you? Not really, fashion modeling is about making the clothes look good. Miss Universe is about making myself look good so I have to walk with a different style and attitude Is your director Ines strict? Yeah, but that is good. Besides, it’s always lots of fun. Ines always gets us to do impromptu projects like fashion shows on the street, and things that attract attention. Once security guards even asked us to stop one of our fashion shows on the street. Thanks to Ines we are always doing unpredictable things. How much is training yourself and how much from Ines? Maybe 50-50. Ines teaches us something and then we have to practice ourselves. Things like studying English I often do by myself by watching movies or TV shows like sex and the city in English because they talk about fashion and beauty a lot. Do you feel different since you joined he competition? Yes, now things like Pilates or climbing 53 story buildings (death face) are part of my regular routine and so I can see and feel the change in my body. I have mixed the good things from the old Kana and combined it with my new knowledge to be the new Kana and my attitude is better. Most importantly, now I have confidence in myself and I have grown up. What do you think about Japanese women and the idea of Japanese beauty? In Japan, most people just look for beauty on the surface, so fashion and make up can make anyone beautiful, but inner beauty is more important. Japanese women need to build confidence in them selves. Japanese women aren’t used to voicing our opinion, where as in other countries women do! In that case do you think Japan needs change? In a way – yes. Japan has a strong position in the world and there are many foreigners living in Japan. We need to communicate more and improve relationships through speaking our opinion. So if you become Miss Universe it will be your job to improve communication? Yeah I will have to do that and many other things. Nature is also important and I want to help preserve the environment all over the world What is the hardest thing about this journey you’re taking? (laughs) I gained weight, before I was a bit skinny, and didn’t have muscles. But now I have muscles and do special training so I gained weight. Well that doesn’t sound too bad! Oh and on the day of the photo shoot on the private jet it was snowing, but we were all wearing spring dresses. It was sooo cold and that made shooting difficult. Do you ever want to quit? No way, I want to be Miss Universe! What’s your strong point? My charm point is I’m always smiling What kind of charity work have you been involved in? When I was in junior high school I went to a catholic school and we often went to disables schools and nursing homes etc. to help people. I would like to continue and do more charity work too, especially with children and education. I have also been involved in the Room to Read events in Japan. This made me want to travel and meet children and help them. I also think the environment is so important and that we have to educate the children about it.

T: こんにちは寛子さん、はじめまして。あなたについて聞かせてください。 H: 私は日本の心を持つ、美しい女性です（笑）。毎日、私は内面も外見も美しくなりたいと思って、広い視野を持って世界について興味があります。ファイナリストとして、大会に向けて日々トレーニングを積んでいます。ミス・ユニバースになりたいです！

T: ミス・ユニバースのトレーニングの中で、何が難しいですか？ H: 私は、どうしたら女性らしく、よりエレガントになれるか学んでいます。それが難しいです。

T: では、女性らしさとは何ですか？ H: 私にとって、オードリー・ヘップバーンのような方が女性らしいお手本です。彼女はキュートですが、同時にとてもエレガントです。彼女があごを上げている雰囲気や繊細な動きこそ、彼女が有名になった理由だと思います。

T: しかし、日本では女性がエレガントよりもキュートになりたいと思っていますよね？ H: そうですね、でも私は他の日本女性がキュートだからと言ってキュートになりたくないです。女の子はキュートでもいいけれど、女性はエレガントになるべきです。

T: ミス・ユニバースを目指す前のあなたはどんな人でしたか？ H: とても男の子っぽかったです！毎日、他のファイナリストやスタッフの方からも「男の子っぽい」って言われています（苦笑）。現在、私は大学で体育について学び、毎日スポーツをしているので、ほとんどの時間はメイクもドレスアップもしないで過ごしています。

T: つまり、ファッションやビューティーを気にしていなかったのですね？ H: 放課後や休日、買い物に出掛ける時だけメイクをしていました。

T: と言うことは、女性らしくエレガントになる挑戦は、不自然だったのではないですか？ H: たぶんあまり自然なことではありませんでした。でも、それは女優とあまり変わらない事だと思います。たくさんの女優さんもきっと、内面が男っぽくてもエレガントに振る舞っています。

T: では、モデルになったりスポーチをしている時などは、演技をしている感じですか？ H: ミス・ユニバースでは、内面の美しさ、アピール、そしてハッピーを歩きながら表現します。ファッションモデルの様に洋服を着こなしてきれいに見せることとは違います。私がモデルをしている時は、私の強さを見せています。

T: ミス・ユニバースに応募するきっかけは何ですか？ H: ２００６ミス・ユニバース第２位の知花くららさん、そして昨年ミス・ユニバースになった森理世さんについて知っていました。理世さんは私と同い年なんて驚きです！３年前、兄弟を亡くし、人生は１度しかないと悟りました。だからこそ、私は多くの挑戦をしていきたいと思い、ミス・ユニバースに応募しました。

T: ミス・ユニバースへの挑戦をする前は何をしていましたか？ H: 大学生です。今も勉強しながら、ミス・ユニバースの挑戦をしています。ただ、今の生活の中心はミス・ユニバースです。

T: 大学では何を学んでいますか？ H: 陸上部に入り、特技は走り高跳びです。トレーニング意外では、筋肉や骨、解剖などについて学んでいます。

T: ミス・ユニバースのトレーニングと大学の勉強はどこか似ていますか？ H: はい、似ているところもあります。でも、高飛びをする人は痩せていて体重も軽くなくてはなりませんが、それはミス・ユニバースとしての美しさとは違い、健康的な美しさが求められると思います。

T: どのくらい高く跳ぶことができますか？ H: １６５cmです。中学時代、全国大会に７回出場しました。四国１位、関東８位の記録を持っています。

T: 身長はいくつですか？ H: １７３cm、つまり、自分と同じ身長くらい跳ぶことができます（笑）。

T: 東京出身ですか？ H: いいえ、西日本にある徳島県出身です。田舎です。

T: 生まれ故郷のファッション、ビューティーとは何ですか？ H: 田舎なので、みんなシンプルな服装です。たぶん東京での流行は、２年かけて徳島にやってきます。

T: １０代の頃はファッション雑誌を見ていましたか？ H: はい。中学時代からファッション雑誌を読むようになりました。でも、雑誌に載っているものがカエルお店などありませんでした。東京みたいに電車もそんなに走っていません。自転車と車、１時間に１本の電車だけです！

T: 小さい頃の夢は何ですか？ H: 体育の先生、または陸上競技のコーチになることです。

T: 今の夢は？ H: 世界大会でミス・ユニバースになりたいです！それから多くの国を旅して、たくさんの人に会って話し、ボランティア活動をすることです。その後、くららさんの様なモデルになり、遂にはミス・ユニバース・ジャパンのナショナルディレクターのイネスの様になりたいです。イネスはメイクや服装についてだけでなく、人生について教えてくれます。

T: 初めてイネスに会った時、どう思いましたか？ H: 彼女は私と全く違う場所にいるけれど、なんて素敵な人だろう、と思いました。お母さんにも似た存在です。彼女が人々を変身させていく様子は、まるでマジシャンです。

T: では今、彼女のレベルに達しましたか？ H: いいえ！以前は全く違う場所にいた私達（ファイナリスト）が今は同じところにいます。とは言え、イネスには程遠いです（苦笑）。

T: 日本女性について、どう思いますか？ H: 一般的に私達（日本女性）は、とても内気でいつも男性の一歩後ろにいなくてはなりません。個々の日本女性は素敵ですが、集合するとオープンでなくなってしまうのです。

T: それは良いこと／悪いことだと思いますか？ H: 両方（良くも悪くも）です！なぜなら、基本的な内面はOKなのに、ただそれを見せることが出来ていないからです。

T: もしあなたがミス・ユニバースになったなら、あなたは多くの人に影響を与える機会を得ることができますね。では、日本女性にメッセージはありますか？ H: 前向きな良い影響を与える人になり、私のようになりたいと思ってもらいたいです。私のメッセージ：「あなたは素晴らしい心を持っています。是非、あなたのパーソナリティーをオープンにして世界に見せましょう。」

T: 日本男性についてはどう思いますか？ H: 日本男性も内気だと思います。そして、彼らは仕事でとても忙しく、日本社会では家族よりも仕事が優先されています。家族中心の暮らしができるように、私は変えていきたいです。

T: もしあなたがミス・ユニバースになったなら、世界の人々の為に何ができますか？ H: チャリティ活動をし、私のパーソナリティーを必要な人々と共有し、私のハッピーな心を受け取ってもらうつもりです。私は一度、ひどい病気にかかっていたので、彼らの気持ちが分かります。中学時代、私は背骨／脊柱の病気になり、手の力がなくなり、足の感覚がありませんでした。そして、２年前に父を亡くしました。このような経験を通して、私は強い人間になり、今はとてもハッピーです。他の方々と共有していきたいです。 T: ありがとう寛子。いい話ができたよ。 Japanese translation by Maiko Kitagawa 2007MUJ top-5 finalist Interview with Miss Universe Japan 2008 Finalist By Timothy Coghlan Nice to meet you Hiroko, can you tell me a little about yourself? I’m a beautiful woman with a Japanese heart (laughs). Everyday I want to be beautiful inside and out and have a wide point of view and consider the world. I’m a finalist and so we are training for the competition everyday. I want to be Miss Universe! Which part of training for Miss Universe is difficult? I’m trying to learn how to be feminine and more elegant – that is difficult. In that case, what is feminine? For me, someone like Audrey Hepburn is a good example of femininity. She is cute but also very elegant. The way she carries herself with her chin up and also her delicate gestures. That’s why she is so famous. But in Japan most girls want to be cute rather than elegant. Yes, but I don’t want to be cute just because other Japanese like to appear cute. Girls can be cute, but women should be elegant. Before you started the Miss Universe competition what were you like? I was very boyish! Everyday the other finalists and staff say I’m boyish (laughs). I’m studying Physical Education at university so everyday I do sports and so most of the time I don’t wear make up or dresses. So you didn’t care about fashion or beauty before? I only wore make up and went shopping on days off from school and holidays. Therefore, does it feel unnatural for you to try and be feminine and elegant? Maybe a little bit, but that’s not too different from any actress. Many of them are boyish inside but display great elegance on the outside. So when you are modeling or doing a speech etc., do you feel like your acting? For Miss Universe, the way we walk is about inner beauty, appeal and happiness – not like a fashion model who just tries to make the clothes look good. When I’m modeling I’m displaying my strength. What inspired you to apply for the Miss Universe competition? I knew about Kurara Chibana who was runner up in the world Miss Universe competition in 2006 and then last year Riyo Mori won the world competition. Riyo is the same age as me and I thought that was amazing! Three years ago my brother passed way and this made me realize that we all only get one life, so I want to take on many challenges and so I applied for Miss Universe. What were you doing before Miss Universe? I was a university student and I still am. Currently I’m studying and doing Miss Universe together, but at the moment my focus is Miss Universe. What do your university studies entail? I’m part of the track and field team and I specialize in high jump, which I have to practice a lot. When there’s no training I learn about muscles, bones and anatomy etc. Is the Miss Universe training and your university studies similar in any way? Yes in a way, but High Jumpers have to be skinny and light, which may not be the beautiful and healthy type of look that is necessary for the Miss Universe competition. How high can you jump? 165cm. In junior high I went to the Japan national competition seven times. I was ranked No. 1 in Shikoku and in the top 8 in Kanto. How tall are you? 173cm, so I can almost jump myself (laughs). Are you from Tokyo? No I’m from Tokushima in Western Japan. It’s basically the countryside. In your hometown, what is fashion and beauty? Everyone just dresses simply because it’s the countryside. Maybe fashion trends in Tokyo take two years to reach Tokushima. When you were a teenager did you look at Fashion magazines? Yes. From junior high school I started to read fashion magazines, but there were no shops to buy anything I saw in the magazines. We didn’t even have regular trains like in Tokyo, only bicycles and cars and one train every hour! When you were younger what was your dream? To become a Physical Education teacher or Track and Field Coach What about now? I want to win the world competition and become Miss Universe! Then travel to many countries, meet and talk to many people and do volunteer work. After that I want to become a model like Kurara and eventually become the director for Miss Universe Japan like Ines. Ines doesn’t just teach us about make up and clothes, she teaches us about life. The first time you met Ines what did you think? I though she was on a totally different stage from me, but such a nice person – almost like a mother figure. She is like a magician in the way she does her work and transforms people. So now have you caught up to her level? No! Before we were on totally different stages. Now we are on the same stage but I am still far below Ines (laughs). What do you think about Japanese women? In general we are very shy and always have to be one step behind (in the shadow of) men. Individually Japanese women are nice people, but as a collective we are not open. Do you think this is good or bad? Both! Because fundamentally we are OK on the inside, but we just never show it. If you become Miss Universe, you will have the chance to influence many people. Therefore, do you have a message for Japanese women? I would like to be a positive influence so people want to be like me. My message is: “You have a great heart, please open your personality and show the world”. What do you think about Japanese men? Japanese men are shy too. Also, they are so busy with work because in Japanese society work comes before the family. I would like this to change and see people shift the focus of life back to the family. If you become Miss Universe what can you do to help people around the world? I intend to do charity work and give my personality to people in need so they can receive my happy heart. I was sick very sick once and so I can understand how they are feeling. In junior high school I had a sickness in my spine and I had no strength in my hands and couldn’t feel my legs. Then, two years ago my father passed away. Through these difficulties I have become a strong person and now I’m very happy. I want to share this with others. Thanks Hiroko, it was nice speaking with you.

CELINE dress 2008 spring summer collection I went to see Riyo backstage at the Roppongi Hills event yesterday where she was performing with Natalia, Miss Brazil.  Today Riyo attended the rehearsals with all the finalists and could give many advises to them.  Sweet Riyo always ready to help everyone even when she is so jetlagged. Riyo leaves tomorrow for Washington for a big cherry-blossom celebration day and comes back to Tokyo 48 hours later to start rehearsing for the Miss Universe japan pageant as she will be the main guest performing from the start to the end of the show, also she has a lot of choreographies to learn!

She will stay one day and fly back to Washington for another event. Then 3 days later Riyo will fly back to Tokyo to perform at the Miss Universe Japan show! Today while in Roppongi Hills, and having a caramel machiato, I bumped into my own book on the shelves which was next to Victoria Beckam, Madonna and Kate Moss respective books! They will rehearse at ZEAL STUDIO (dance studio) in Shijuku. They are starting to learn the choreography of the show for Aptril 3rd, the day of the final. Milly has been working with me since I started in 1998! She is amazing, she has so much talent and she is such a charm to work with. ファイナリストたちは午後１～６時まで、ロンドンから来日した振付師のミリーと新宿のZEAL STUDIOで毎日リハーサルをしています。 彼女たちは4月3日日本大会へ向けてショーの振り付けを習得中です。 ミリーとは1998年、私がミス・ユニバース・ジャパンで仕事を始めて以来の付き合い。 彼女はとても才能にあふれ、一緒に仕事をしていて楽しい、魅力的な女性です。 Each finalist knows that from now they can only trust their partner to help her enter the top 5, as the competition is really growing into each girl and the rivality can be really hard sometimes.
