I I just spoke with both Hiroko and Sun on Hiroko’s mobile, they were getting ready to go to the parade, I could hear lots of activity and noise in the background. They seem so happy! Cannot wait to see the pictures in their Aoi Dai.

今ヒロコの携帯でヒロコとサンと話しました。彼女達はこれからパレードに行くようです。電話の向こうでは活気あふれ、騒がしい音が聞こえていました。 2人は、とても元気そうです。彼女達のアオザイ姿の写真をみるのがとても楽しみです！

Sun said that last night, they attended the second charity auction event since they arrived in Vietnam. She said that she auctioned her sword and it sold at US$5,000, and that people sreamed and asked her to dance with the sword. The highest gift sold was the one of Miss Belgium which was a jewelry with Swarovski crystals that was purchased at US$15,000!

昨夜、サンと話しました。ベトナムに到着してから2度目のチャリティーオークションがあったとのこと。彼女の刀はUS$5,000で売れたようです。サンはみんなから刀を振って踊ってみてせがまれたようです。一番高く売れたギフトは、ミス・ベルギーが出品したジュエリー。スワロフスキー製のクリスタルでできたジュエリーでUS$15,000！

Bravo girls! ブラボー、ガールズ！ Wednesday is the swimsuit competition fashion show. The winner will get a $2,000 prize. Before that all delegates will be filming in their swimsuit, as per last year on the beach when they had to run and jump on the beach, while an helicopter was shooting. Not sure what they will have to do this year. Will keep you posted.

水曜日はスイムスーツ　ファッションショーです。勝者には、$2,000の賞金を獲得できます。代表者達は、ショーの前にスイムスーツを着用し撮影をします。 昨年はビーチを走ったり、ジャンプしたりしているところをヘリコプターから撮影しました。今年はどんなことをするかまだわかりませんが、後ほどご報告しますね

Just spoke with Hiroko, she always calls me after her breakfast. She is sending back many clothes that she wore by FedEx today and she needed some infos. She is the most organized and independent winner, amazing! She has a steel personality with a sweet and fun side of her that makes you fell in love immediately with her aura. I asked Hiroko who are her best friends in the competition and she said that they are: her roommate San Salvador, also UK, Poland, Slovakia and Mexico. Tonight the delegates will be attending a parade in the street. A renowned Vietnam designer gave a beautiful Aoi Dai (Vietnam traditional dress) as a gift to 40 girls of his choice, Hiroko and Sun both received one. Hiroko said that she was given a sparkling and amazing dress, so different from the one she wore the night of the Aoi Dai fashion show. She told me to watch for “the disco-ball” tonight because it will be her!!! …..She is funny, I love to hear her laughing on the phone, she really has a contagious laugh! I also asked her who is getting the most support, applaud from the local people over there, and also who receives the most attention from the press and she said: both Venezuela and USA. Hiroko hasn’t have one day off since she arrived. Sun was lucky she got 2 days off already. I told Hiroko to really watch what she eats because these dinners every night are dangerous for most of the girls. We are now only a week away from the preliminary show, so exciting! GO GIRLS IT IS ALMOST THERE! LET’S ROCK & ROLL BABIES!

今、ちょうどひろこと話しをしました。いつも彼女は、朝食後に電話をしてきてくれます。ヒロコが今まで着用したたくさんの洋服をFEDEXで送りかえしてくれようとしているのですが、その際にいくつかのインフォメーションが必要だったようです。本当に彼女はきちんとしていて、自立した日本代表です。素晴らしいわ！彼女はとても強い精神の持ち主で、思いやりがあり優しくそして、楽しい一面を持っています。誰もがそんなヒロコに恋してしまうと思います。

ヒロコに、「この大会の中で誰と一番仲が良いの？」と聞いたところ、彼女のルームメイトでもあるエルサルバドル共和国代表、又イングランド、ポーランド、スロバキアそしてメキシコ代表者達だと話していました。

今夜、各国の代表者達は、パレードに参加します。名声のあるベトナムデザイナーがとても美しいアオダイ（ベトナム民族衣装）を、彼が選んだ40カ国の代表者にギフトとしてプレゼントしました。ひろことサンも彼から素敵なドレスをプレゼントされたようです。先日行われたアオザイ　ファッションショーで着た時とは比べものにならないような輝く素敵なドレスを頂いたようです。「“the disco-ball”を探してね！それが私だから」とひろこは話していました。本当にひろこはおもしろいわ。電話で彼女が笑うのを聞くのが大好きです。私までつられて笑ってしまいます。

又、「誰がローカルの人たちから一番サポートをうけている？プレスから注目を浴びているのは誰？」 とヒロコに聞いたところ、ベネズエラとアメリカ代表とのこと。

ヒロコはベトナムに入ってから一日も休んでいません。サンはラッキーだった為、すでに2日間オフをとることができました。 ヒロコに夜食事をとる際には気をつけるようにと伝えました。

もう予選のショーまで一週間にせまりました！
