WOW WOW!!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOO FABULOUS!!!!

And WOOW!! Designed by JOHN GALLIANO!!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

I CAN’T CALM ME DOWN!!!
THIS IS REALLY REALLY OUR JAPANESE COSTUME☆☆
We have been dreamed such JAPANESE costume.
Yeah, This is “DREAM”!!!

The strings of the shoulders are like strings which Japanese men usually use when they shoulder a portable shrine or which Japanese old women always used when they give her baby a ride on her back.

Flower patterns of kimono, Pine and Cranes of the fan are really really TRADITIONAL GREAT design. AND we regard these things as something that bring luck☆

Her hair-style reminds me of wearing three ornamental hairpin.
The bar and her standing figure reminds me of “KABUKI”.
SOOOO ELEGANT and NEO-KABUKI☆

THE COLOR SUITS HER VEEERY MUCH! SOOOOOO ELEGANT and SOOOO MODEST AND SOO GORGEOUS!!!!

I LOOOVE ITAI SAN wearing this great Japanese costume.
I REALLY REALLY LOVE THIS COSTUME, so I hope I wear such a great costume sometime. xoxo

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ALL THE PEOPLE who cooperate with MISS UNIVERSE JAPAN!

WIYH BIIIG LOVE, MOMOKO

Jude ONG Says:

Allez Inés!….My, oh my! – I’m flabbergasted! Inés Ligron has done it again!

A Thing of BEAUTY is a JOY Forever!!!

When Kurara won the BEST National Costume award in 2006, I then thought that it was the best ever Japanese national costume and it would be very difficult to beat it! BUT this costume is absolutely amazing! – Pure Galliano genius! Seeing is believing!

This creation has ALL the elements & essence, in detail, of the Japanese culture from head-to-toe! ‘DREAM’ is feminine, aesthetic & culturally rich which showcases Japanese tradition in a modern, avant garde & beautiful package! – The styling, makeup, hair & skintone are just perfect. On the subject of skintone, Maiko would never present this work of art successfully if she had a tanned or bronzed skintone. So please ensure that she does NOT darken or tan her skintone at all for the Miss UNIVERSE Pageant! Besides, she really looks fresh, healthy & sexy with her natural light & pale skintone!

Oh yes, last year’s debacle & mistakes are now history! You can proudly & positively challenge the industry, again, with true pride, optimism & anticipation! I can honestly say that great expectations from your fans, supporters & admirers are indeed riding very high at this moment!

Everyone is understandably curious about the cost of this exclusive design….and of course, the whole world is longing to see Miss JAPAN’s evening gown for the grand final! Will it be another Galliano masterpiece?

BRAVO & KUDOS to John for his unforgettable contribution, to Inés for her foresight, vision & creativity in pageantry and to Maiko Ito who will carry the hopes of her country!

Lots & lots of SUCCESS, Good Luck & enjoy the pageant,
*Jude xxx

This is gorgeous, the colors, the fabrics, the fan. everything is just so classy, like maiko, it’s really a fresh and elegant twist from what was made in previous years.

this definetelly fit’s maiko’s poise and grace, this has to be a the winning outfit of it’s cattegory i really wished they would broadcast the traditional costume category or they should include it in the program and make a special runway for finalists.
