We chose colorful dresses from Just Cavalli この日の衣装はロベルトカバリよ。この撮影のためにミラノのショールームから送ってもらったの。ジャストカバリのカラフルなドレスを選ばせてもらったわ。 Speaking with Kurara and Maria before starting the shoot. Hiroko was first, then me, Riyo and then Kurara. 撮影が始まる前に、くららとマリアと話し込んじゃった。 寛子から始まって、私、理世、くららの順に撮影は進んでいったの。 Riyo and Aki.　理世とアキ Aki has been working with us since the past 3 years already. She does most of Kurara make up always, and became a good friend of us all. アキは3年前から私達と一緒に仕事をしているの。いつもくららのメイクを担当してくれることが多いけど、私達ともいい友達なのよ。 Maria is from Finland, she designs lingerie in Europe now for a big company in France. Her swimsuits are amazing, she is so talented and I am very proud of her. I always like to have her with us because she sees details that make a big difference in the end photos later and sometimes I am just too busy to see. マリアはフィンランド出身で、ヨーロッパで下着のデザインを手掛けているの。今は特にフランスの大手の会社向けで活動しているわ。マリアは本当に才能があって、手掛ける水着は全部が素晴らしいんだから。私はとてもマリアのことを誇りの思うわ。いつもこのような機会があるとマリアに来てもらうことが多いの。彼女はどうしたら違った見せ方をできるかコツを色々と心得ているから私達を助けてくれるのよ。それに時々私は忙しすぎて全てをチェックしてあげられないことがあるからね。 In this picture, I was telling Kurara that her hair should have more volume. この写真で、くららのヘアにもっとボリュームをもたせるようにアドバイスしているところよ。 It is so much fun to work together. That day, we were shooting pictures for my third book with Magzine House. Thi is why we are the 4 of us. My new book will tell each of them presonal journey toward Miss Universe. 彼女達と一緒に働くのはとっても楽しいものよ。この日はマガジンハウスから発売される私の3冊目の著書の撮影だったの。だから私達４人が勢ぞろいしているのよ。その新しい本では、彼女達がそれぞれどのようにミス・ユニバースに向けて奮闘していったかが綴られているわ。

We started the caravan around Japan for the 2009 competition!We just arrived tonight in Osaka together with Hiroko and many of the MUJ staff. Tomorrow Sunday and Monday we will be auditioning a total of 400 pre-selected candidates who are residing in the South of Japan. The main auditions for the northern region will be held next weekend in Tokyo. This year we passed our record of applicants with a total of approximately 4,000 girls!!!!! Sugoi!!I am very excited to meet all the girls tomorrow, this is our first step toward 2009. To all of you, thank you for applying and I cannot wait to start working with you all!
